Menger’s Sponge is a n early fractal discovered by Karl Menger. It is relatively simple and thus the object of great admiration with many artists. The Institute for Figuring (IFF) recently held a show at Machine Project which consisted of a Menger Sponge, iterated to level three, composed entirely out of business cards. Like the fractal itself my poster is composed out of tiny pixel units which were repeated to create the sponge in its first three iterations.
