My parents live in Colorado and when i went to visit them in October of 2005 i decided that i would take a photo out the window of my car every ten miles. I did this partially to document the desolation that is the expanding desert between the California border and my parent’s home town, and partially to keep myself awake. When i looked at each of the photos later i saw that none of them was particularly interesting in and of themselves but that as a collection they were beautiful.
